These balls of genuine hemp twine are medium thickness, which is great for general use around the home, gardening, etc, and can also be used for making thicker, chunkier macrame or jewellery.

Our range of beeswax-coated hemp twine is made in the traditional way in Hungary. This 200g-size ball contains about 90m, with a breaking strength of about 244N. It is made with two lengths of yarn twisted together. The picture below with the pen shown will give you an idea of the thickness of this twine (about 3mm thick, but does vary due to the traditional manufacturing technique).

Hemp twines ropes and cords are easy on the hands and hold knots really well. Hemp resists rot and mildew so it great for situations where they will get wet or be exposed to the weather.
